Gilt Workshop
The gilt workshop also deals with restoring historic painting frames. It was established after the Second World War and for over half a century it was managed by the renowned gilder, Adam Kruk. Currently it employs two people. In terms of organisation it is related to the Painting and Sculpture Restoration Workshop managed by Ewa Wiłkojć, MA. The employees are highly qualified in the field of restoration and are highly skilled woodcarvers, which enables them to reconstruct ornamental decoration. Their work also includes gilding and silvering new frames. |
